I find the gap between two things, and make it easy to cross.

I’m an artist who treats problem solving as creative work, which is why nothing here is one medium: an illustration, a kit in a box, a class, a 3D scan, a small piece of software.

The pattern is usually the same. I find the connection, or the gap, between two disciplines, departments or programs, and work at it until I understand it. I turn that into instructions for the next person. Then I go back to the start and fix what made the instructions necessary, until the way in is obvious for everyone. At least, that’s the goal.

About

Self-taught, on purpose.

I learn by following my curiosity until I’m good at something — CAD and 3D printing, scientific illustration, needle felting, AutoHotkey, and now building software with AI. Then I design the object and the instructions together, because I still remember what it was like to be the beginner.

For the last four years I worked at Paxton Gate in San Francisco, as Fulfillment Coordinator and then Education & Events Lead. I’m looking for a small team where I can go deep: designing systems, tools and experiences that make complicated things feel simple.

Since 2017 I’ve also run Freddi Yeti, my own studio of needle-felted monsters, animations and workshops.
